623 June 3rd, 3-4pm 80 YEAR CANCER RESEARCH FINDINGS REVIEW South Cobb County Library, 805 Clay Road, Mableton, GA 30126. Atlanta, Georgia – Engineers are set to announce findings from a review of 80 years of cancer research in a three-part seminar. Answers to many of the questions surrounding cancer will be provided. Engineers researched findings across a variety of medical disciplines to assemble the cancer puzzle. The second seminar is scheduled for June 3rd from 11am – noon at the South Cobb County Library located at 805 Clay Road, Mableton, GA . Having engineers review the history of cancer engages a fresh set of eyes specifically trained in problem solving. When asked what new findings will be presented, Clay Smith, the director of research, responded saying, “One significant finding is that cancer sufferers are not at fault for incurring the disease. Research shows, with few exceptions, that the cause of cancer does not rest in the actions of the stricken.” Mr. Smith described the research process as being like the unfolding of a great mystery, filled with surprises and interesting twists. He said the greatest challenge was assembling the many fragmented pieces of research into one cohesive understanding. The email address for more information is RCS Educational Foundation, Inc. 631 June 5th - June 30th SPECIAL NEEDS MATH ENRICHMENT SUMMER CAMP, Ages 8-12 Clark Atlanta University Campus Our very first annual special needs camp, for ages 8-12, hosted on the prestigious campus of Clark Atlanta University, offers remedial math enrichment learning for children of special needs. The camp is specifically tailored to provide guided instruction to learners who may have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Since breaks in instructional programming often result in the loss of acquiring a critical skill, it is vital that children with special needs continue to hone newly acquired skills. Aligned to Common Core Standards, our camp seeks to prevent academic regression caused by an interruption in educational programming which may result in a child’s inability to recover previously learned skills within a reasonable amount of time.
